Privacy Policy

RankSage ("RankSage", "we", "us", or "our") provides review-management software for local businesses at https://ranksage.in (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have — including for data we access from your Google account with your permission.

1. Information we collect

a. Information you give us

Account details: your name, email address, and password or sign-in identity.
Business details: business name, locations you choose to connect, and reply preferences (tone, rules, templates).
Messages you send us, such as support requests.

b. Google user data (with your permission)

When you connect your Google account, RankSage requests the following Google API scopes. We access only the data listed here, and only for the purposes described:

Google Business Profile (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage): the list of business locations you manage; customer reviews on those locations (star rating, review text, reviewer display name, and time); and the ability to create or update the owner reply to a review. We do not use this access to change your business information.
Google Contacts, read-only (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly): accessed only when you explicitly start a contact import for review invitations. We display your contacts so you can choose recipients, and we store only the contacts you select (name and email address or phone number). We never modify or delete your contacts.
Basic profile: your name, email address, and profile picture, used to create and identify your account.

c. Information collected automatically

Usage and log data: pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security and to improve the Service.
Cookies: strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use your information

To provide the Service: read new reviews, draft replies in your configured tone, and publish replies you approve or that match your automation rules.
To send review invitations to the contacts you selected, after you review the message.
To operate your account: sign-in, notifications you enable, support, and billing (if applicable).
To keep the Service secure and reliable: debugging, abuse prevention, and monitoring.

We do not use your data — including Google user data — for advertising, and we never sell it.

Google API Services User Data Policy. RankSage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Google user data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above; it is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train generalized AI/ML models, and not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, for security, or to comply with law.

3. How we store and protect your data

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS everywhere).
Google OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest, and are used only by the Service's backend to perform the actions described in this policy.
Data is stored on access-controlled servers operated by our hosting provider (Hostinger). Access is limited to what is needed to run and support the Service.

4. When we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal data or Google user data. We share information only:

With service providers that host and run the Service (e.g., our hosting provider), bound to use it only on our instructions;
With Google, when publishing the review replies you approved to your own Business Profile;
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of RankSage, our users, or the public;
With your direction or consent.

5. Data retention and deletion

Disconnect Google: you can disconnect your Google account in the app at any time, or revoke RankSage's access from your Google Account permissions page. When you disconnect, we delete the stored OAuth tokens immediately and delete cached Google user data (reviews and imported contacts) within 30 days.
Delete your account: on request, or when you delete your account in the app, we delete your personal data and all Google user data within 30 days, except minimal records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the backup cycle, within 90 days.
On request: email bhavsarpadmesh@gmail.com from your account email and we will delete your data as described above, confirming when complete.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from within the app or by emailing us; we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
